Registration Procedures

  • Bring valid ID, visit LAKU agent and complete the registration form
  • You will received transaction receipt and SMS information contains the account number and PIN
  • Approval SMS will be received after the application is approved

How to Deposit Cash

  • Visit LAKU agent, enter the LAKU card on the Agent's Kit and enter the amount of money you want to save and the PIN number
  • Enter the OTP code received from the SMS, then press the continue button
  • Receipt of deposit will be printed along with proof of deposit SMS sent directly to the handphone

LAKU’s Characteristics

TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR LAKU
PT BANK CENTRAL ASIA Tbk (“BCA”)


A. DEFINITIONS

  1. LAKU means an account denominated in Rupiah at BCA with LAKU Card as proof of ownership thereof.
  2. Customer means an individual Indonesian Citizen that owns an identity card in accordance with the applicable laws and that becomes the owner of LAKU.
  3. PIN means a personal identification number that must be used by the Customer every time the Customer conducts a Transaction.
  4. One Time Password (OTP) means a unique password generated by the system, which is sent in the form of a Short Message Service (SMS) to the Customer's mobile phone number that has been registered by the Customer when opening the LAKU account.
  5. Agent means an individual or corporate customer appointed by BCA to accept a Transaction conducted by the Customer.
  6. LAKU Card means a card issued by BCA that must be used by the Customer to make a Transaction through the device located at the Agent's location and/or through any other device as determined and notified by BCA in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws.
  7. Transaction means a transaction that can be conducted by the Customer using LAKU, such as cash withdrawals and deposits, balance and transaction history inquiries of the LAKU account, and other transactions in accordance with the terms and conditions applicable at BCA, which will be notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws.

B. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. The Customer can open LAKU through the nearest Agent by filling out an account opening form and submitting the supporting documents and registering the Customer's mobile phone number that will be linked to the LAKU account opened by the Customer.
  2. The mobile phone number that is linked to LAKU must be the Customer’s own mobile phone number. All consequences arising in connection with the registration of a mobile phone number belonging to another person shall be the full responsibility of the Customer. The Customer hereby holds BCA harmless against all claims, lawsuits, and/or other legal proceedings from any party whomsoever.
  3. LAKU can only be opened by a prospective customer that does not already have an account at BCA. If a Customer that already has an account at BCA wishes to open LAKU, such Customer must first close his/her account at BCA.
  4. The Customer is allowed to open only 1 (one) LAKU account at BCA, and the LAKU account cannot be opened in the form of a joint account.
  5. The Customer is fully responsible for the use of LAKU and the LAKU Card, including any misuse of the LAKU Card.
  6. The Customer must notify BCA in writing of any change in the Customer's data.
  7. The Customer hereby authorizes BCA to provide the Customer’s data to other parties outside BCA that have a cooperation arrangement with BCA for promotional activities or other commercial purposes.
  8. BCA has the right to make any necessary correction to the Customer's account balance if there is a posting error made by BCA.
  9. The funds deposited in LAKU earn interest, calculated on the basis of the monthly average balance in accordance with the applicable provisions at BCA, and the interest is subject to tax.
  10. For every financial transaction made at the Agent, the Customer will receive an OTP, which will be sent to the Customer's mobile phone number, and the OTP will be received by the Customer as long as a). the inbox is not full; b). there is no problem with the Cellular Operator's network; and c). the Customer's mobile phone credit is sufficient.
  11. Every time the Customer makes a Transaction at the Agent, the Customer must enter the PIN and the OTP (only for financial Transactions) into the Transaction device used by the Agent, and the Customer must maintain the confidentiality of the PIN and the OTP. The Customer is fully responsible for the use of the PIN and the OTP, including any misuse of the PIN and the OTP.
  12. For each OTP delivery, a certain amount will be deducted from the Customer's mobile phone credit according to the tariff determined by the cellular operator.
  13. The maximum balance in the LAKU account at any time is Rp 20,000,000 (twenty million Rupiah). The maximum balance limit may be changed at any time and the change will be notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws.
  14. LAKU will turn dormant if a). the account has a zero balance for 6 (six) consecutive months; or b). the account is inactive/there is no transaction except interest, tax, and/or administrative fees (if applicable) for 6 (six) consecutive months or for any other period that will be notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws.
  15. The Customer must bear all the fees and charges arising in connection with the opening of LAKU and the Transaction fees as well as other fees applicable at BCA, which will be notified by BCA to the Customer in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws. For this purpose, the Customer hereby authorizes BCA to debit such fees and charges from the Customer's LAKU.
  16. If the Customer's SIM Card bearing the mobile phone number registered with BCA is stolen or lost, the Customer must immediately notify such theft or loss to Halo LAKU and DUITT.
  17. Any notification of the theft or loss of the Customer's SIM Card bearing the mobile phone number registered with BCA via Halo LAKU and DUITT will be followed by the blockage of the relevant LAKU by BCA. The LAKU account will remain blocked by BCA until BCA receives a request from the Customer to unblock the LAKU account. As long as the notification of theft or loss has not been received by BCA, any Transaction made becomes the full responsibility of the Customer.
  18. BCA has the right to block/suspend any transactions made with LAKU, refuse any transactions to LAKU, and/or terminate the business relationship with the Customer if: a). the Customer fails to comply with the applicable laws; b). the Customer fails to fulfill the request for information and supporting documents in accordance with the applicable laws; c). the Customer is caught and/or reasonably suspected of using false documents and/or providing incorrect data to BCA; d). the Customer provides questionable information; and/or e). the Customer’s source of transaction funds is known to have come from and/or reasonably suspected of having come from a criminal act;.
  19. LAKU account will be closed automatically by system if Customer’s LAKU account: a). has turned dormant; and b). has a zero balance for 6 (six) consecutive months since Customer’s LAKU account first turned dormant.
  20. The Customer’s funds deposited in LAKU at BCA are guaranteed by the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (Lembaga Penjamin Simpanan, “LPS”) up to the maximum limit guaranteed by the LPS. The LPS does not guarantee any deposits with an interest rate exceeding the rate set by the LPS.
  21. By opening LAKU, the Customer is bound by and agrees to these terms and conditions. BCA has the right to amend any provisions concerning LAKU, and such amendment will be notified by BCA in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws.
  22. As long as the Customer still owes BCA under a loan, L/C, bank guarantee or any personal guarantee provided by the Customer (borgtocht), interest, facility fees, any charges incurred for the purchase of a cheque/bilyet giro book, stamp duty, drafts, acceptance letters or other commercial papers signed by the Customer as an acceptor, endorser, or drawer, guarantor or as a result of using a credit card or any fees or obligations arising from anything whatsoever, BCA has the right and to the extent necessary is hereby authorized by the Customer to debit the Customer's account and apply the proceeds to settle any amounts payable to BCA at any time.
  23. BCA has the right to make any necessary corrections to the Customer's account balance if there is a posting error made by BCA.
  24. If the Customer intends to change the mobile phone number that was registered by the Customer when opening LAKU for any reason, the Customer must close the LAKU account that is linked to such mobile phone number.
  25. LAKU can only be closed by the Customer at the Agent where the Customer opened the LAKU account or at any other location as determined by BCA. The Customer must bring with him/her the original identity card, the LAKU Card, and other documents according to the provisions applicable at BCA.
  26. The Customer hereby acknowledges that any data recorded by and calculation made by BCA relating to a Transaction and/or an account balance in connection with the use of the LAKU Card, as well as all records, printouts, recordings, communication media, or other evidence in any form held by BCA in connection with any Transaction made by the Customer constitute valid and conclusive evidence, which is binding on the Customer, unless proven otherwise.

C. DEPOSITS AND WITHDRAWALS

  1. BCA has the right to determine the amount of initial deposit and the minimum/maximum subsequent deposits at the Agent and/or through other facilities, which will be notified by BCA in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws.
  2. Any deposits into and withdrawals from LAKU can be made at the Agent and/or through other facilities that may be later determined and notified by BCA in any form and by any means in accordance with the prevailing laws.
  3. The maximum cumulative limit on cash withdrawal transactions using LAKU is Rp 5,000,000 (five million Rupiah) per month. Such maximum cumulative limit on cash withdrawal transactions from LAKU may be changed at any time, and the change will be notified by BCA in any form and by any means in accordance with the prevailing laws.

D. LAKU CARD

  1. The LAKU card is issued for use by the Customer only and is not transferrable in any manner whatsoever. All consequences arising from any misuse of the LAKU Card shall be the sole responsibility of the Customer.
  2. Every time the Customer uses the LAKU Card, the Customer must enter the PIN. The Customer must keep the confidentiality of the PIN and must not disclose the PIN to any other person. All consequences arising from any misuse of the PIN shall be the sole responsibility of the Customer.
  3. If the LAKU Card is stolen or lost, the Customer must immediately notify such theft or loss to Halo LAKU and DUITT, and the notification will be followed by a blockage by BCA of the relevant LAKU Card. As long as the notice of theft or loss has not been received by BCA, any Transactions made using the stolen or lost LAKU Card shall be the sole responsibility of the Customer.
  4. The Customer holds BCA harmless against all claims, lawsuits, and/or other legal proceedings and for any losses arising from the forgery of the LAKU Card that is not due to BCA's fault.
  5. BCA for a certain reason has the right to at any time block, revoke or update the LAKU Card.
  6. BCA has the right to terminate the use of the LAKU Card if the Customer fails to comply with the terms and conditions applicable to the LAKU Customer.
  7. The Customer must pay all the fees and charges incurred in connection with the issuance and/or use of the LAKU Card, including but not limited to the cost of producing/replacing the LAKU Card. The amount of such fees and charges including any change thereto will be notified to the Customer in any form and by any means in accordance with the applicable laws. For this purpose, the Customer hereby authorizes BCA to debit such fees and charges from the Customer's LAKU.
  8. The use of the LAKU Card is subject to the terms and conditions applicable at BCA, including the terms and conditions for all services/facilities and Transactions covered by the LAKU Card. BCA has the right to modify the terms and conditions applicable at BCA as well as the provisions governing all the services or facilities and Transactions covered by the LAKU Card, and such modification will be notified by BCA in any form and by any means in accordance with the prevailing laws.
  9. The use of the PIN on the device located at the Agent's location and/or other device has the same legal force as a written order signed by the Customer.
  10. If the LAKU Card is damaged or lost, the Customer may request a replacement to the Agent where the Customer opened LAKU by bringing with the Customer the original valid identity card and other supporting documents in accordance with the provisions applicable at BCA.
  11. The LAKU Card will be closed if the LAKU account associated with the LAKU Card is closed, and the Customer must return the LAKU Card to the Agent.

E. COMPLAINTS HANDLING

  1. Any complaints to BCA in connection with LAKU and the LAKU Card may be lodged by the Customer with Halo LAKU and DUITT. For the purpose of handling such complaint, BCA may require the Customer to provide BCA with a copy of the Customer’s identity card and other supporting documents.
  2. Any complaint relating to LAKU must be lodged by the Customer with BCA no later than 3 (three) months of the Transaction date, and BCA will respond to such complaint in accordance with the applicable law.

F. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

  1. The Customer agrees that any dispute or difference of opinion arising from and/or in connection with the implementation of these Terms and Conditions for LAKU of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (“BCA”) will be resolved in an amicable manner.
  2. Any dispute or difference of opinion that cannot be amicably resolved between the Customer and BCA will be resolved through the banking mediation facility at Bank Indonesia or the Financial Services Authority or by means of mediation through an Alternative Dispute Resolution Institution included in the List of Alternative Dispute Resolution Institutions established by the Financial Services Authority.
  3. Any dispute or difference of opinion that cannot be resolved in an amicable manner, by means of banking mediation facility, and/or by means of the mediation as described in item 2 above will be resolved through the District Court of Central Jakarta, without prejudice to BCA's right to file a suit or claim through any other District Court within the territory of the Republic of Indonesia.
